Triathlon Conclusion 2010 Yr 6

This has been quite a summer, I am going to mention my fav memories. I just wanted to say that this summer has been the most mixed and growing experience as a person and a triathlete. I have become a prize money winner, top 3 overall in almost all of the locals I have done and I really have come to terms to myself and who I am in. I recently developed a greater love for the outdoors, hiking, and camping. I love waterfalls and exploring the unknown. I loved the trips I took down the shore with not only racing, but training. I got to teach bootcamp for the first time at 5 in the mothafuckin morn, but hey, it got me up early to work out myself. I drove around Ca by myself for 10 hrs in 2 days in a Convertable. I went to Mexico by myself, but met great people along the way. Most of all, I have Qualified for a World Championship Triathlon Race and have completed my goal of the yr, to Qualify for Clearwater. Looking back, I can compare this journey to my performance in the Empire State Building run-up. I cant forget the many ways in which I had trained for that particular race; parking deck steps, statdium steps, hill repeats, tredmill incline, and on snow blizzard days, the stairs in my very own house. But hey all the grindin pays off when I ran up 86 flights of steps which stretched 2 miles high in just 16 mins...

With all the people that have inspired me, taught me that if you really want to accomplish something, no matter what that might be, no matter what hardships you may face, it will come true if you dont let go of that goal. I did just that, I never let go of that goal, ever. I learned to always have a backup plan, if RI didnt work out for me, which it didnt, I had Cancun planned. I knew going into RI that I would of had a tougher competition.

I never thought I would of been capable of going below a 540 in a Half Iroman. In cancun before the run I was pacing a 520-530 pace if I would of ran a 140-145 half... This shouldnt be an issue in Clearwater or the races to come bc there wont be this immense fire pit like heat...

So in 2011, at age 25 I am here to say that I will make my return to HAWAII, I will go to MAUI and that will happen nxt Oct 9 2011. I will qualify through st. criox..

If that doesnt work out, then I will just work on getting faster, race Timberman as planned in August, PR there, and race Poconos in Oct....

Maybe I will go to the new Half Ironman World Champ site in Vegas.... But no matter what, I will race my first full Ironman nxt yr, and I am shooting for that to be Cozmel. I didnt want to go back to Mexico ever again bc its such a pain, but its the most realisitc race that I can actually get into so we shall see what the future holds.

Kona 2011.
