End of March update Race + Career

So as there is only 1 more day remaining of March, I decided to write. The only motivating factor for me to sign up for another Brookyln Biathlon was if @ Ashley Morgan from West Point, the triathlon great was gonna race. Now that shes not racing, that 60 bux can go towards trying to register for 1/3 of Ironman 70.3 Rhode Island, New Hamshire, and Cancun....

I gotta get that money FAST before they close out...as I am checking registration daily.. I am worried sick about that... but my bill is way too high this month to charge anything else, and those bday check days are over... Im lucky if I get 1 card none theless in the mail... lol

I did go back to my 'old running store' bc 'jason' left who I was nvr crazy about and I needed money BAD. As offically I havent worked since dec bc Lifetime Fitness screwed me over bigtime. Then when I go to get advice from a previous professer she doesnt answer me either...damn ok... maybe she just wanted me to figure it out on my own, but still at least answer me, I mean that shit drives me nuts.

So When I met @ Jeff at the black eyed peas concert, it really did get me back on track. I didnt realize it was a floor shift job Ala PD shifts at reebok, but I said something to the manager and now I am being made into a trainer... after I take him through a work out on wens so he can see and know that I know what Im doing and feed into my training style more... so he can match me up to clients as in corporate fitness there aint no hussling NO more! They FEED u clients, like u have no idea....

Not only that, the group Ex classes they have there are amazing, most of them arent syndicated so u dont have to que (thank God) So I am gonna end up making more money once I get off these shifts to teach nighttime group ex classes to a small group training. I will be teaching: runners edge, Sports Camp, and Spinning classes so I am super xcited. Not only that, I got in touch w North Jersey Bootcamp so they will hook me up hopefully with helping them teach in the early am, but its still 10 mins from home and good money!

See, when I get to do what I love AND I have that feelin I will start makin good money, this is where my happiness comes out bc hard work SHOULD equal greatness... Like Eryka once told me, "I do what I want when I want"
hahaha right on....

In other news, I am currently training for the Asbury Park Half marathon.. now currently in 3 weeks! :O so I gotta get a move on w upping my milage and really start averaging the remainder of the week with 1 hr runs everyday and nxt week will be 90 min runs all week.....

1 hr is a piece of cake so I should do a 90 min run fri after zip lining...

Speaking of which, I will only be 23 for 1 more week, and oh what a yr it has been w hospital visits, monthly dr visits, but at the same time an amazing racing triathlon yr other than my bike crash and really the yr of self discovery.... even tho I am still single and havent found my partner in crime.

Have big plans, going zip lining in pa fri, and was asking to bike before hand but its too crazy to do that then zip ling and do a ropes course bc it takes a lot of energy and upper body strength...

then Sat depending on the weather, was planning on going to the beach as yesterday I saw 82' up there, but now its only gonna be 70'so looks as if I am hiking the palisades indeed..... Then I will prob do dinner to those who are def comin to my bday of my friends, then an ALL nighter w yinon yahel..

Hoping some of the new hot shirts I ordered come in time <3>

Biathlons

It just occured to me that I am doing a shitload of Biathlons through out the months of March-May. Mainly because I am working on the transitioning between my bike and run and my strengths in both since my weakness is still the swim. The more I train the more I have come to a realization that the biking part is my fav whenever I get asked that question, whatever I am best at is another story.... I can run faster up hill than I can bike... its so mental biking up hill or really 'climbing'

I am doing 2 biathlons in april plus a half marathon between them, and 1 in may + a time trial. I should find 1 more biathlon just in case... or maybe not since i dont have $$ to sign up for the 2 in april yet either... lol
oh boy

Bike Road Race+Tight Packs+Drafting+Rain+COLD=Crash

OK, I have been dying to do a bike road race for some type now... but its kinda dumb to do 1 with NO outside training, NO training in packs, and in the freezing rain. I would usually suck it up, but its soooo not worth a crash, esp with the ONLY bike I have, my road bike with acts as my training bike and my racing bike for the last SIX years because me or my parents can't afford a racing bike. Its sad, I would rather spend my money on races, then spend it on a bike and not race. Some people don't realize how good they have it! NO IDEA.....

Anyway, I decided to merge some more similar races together so it becomes the progression of the 2 biathlons to finish up Q1, then my Half marathon, and another couple biathlons for Q2, for Q3, I get into the sprint tris, Q4 will be my first half IM in 2 yrs and and my fav tri of the yr the metroman, Q5 will be my 2nd Half IM and then Santa Barb. Q5 is cruital from a money perspective and training esp since I LOVE ca. Q6 is the grand finale, Cancun + Clearwater. and throwin in a local boardwalk Grand Prix 5k.

2010 is the yr of the C.C. CANCUN.CLEARWATER werq

I am glad bc of my money situation as of now, I am not being lik an idiot and traveling all around lik I used to seeing madonna or offer. I mean enough is enough, I hate getting submerged in these clicks of people where they are obsessed w only 1 thing or 1 person and thats our only commonality. Only I think to myself that even though I am an obsessive person, I can break out of it because I have a spectrum of interests, other people can't. Enough of those people...

Anyways, I wish the RR was tmr instead bc the nxt few days are gonna be as high as 60' which is amazing for East Coast weather in March. But come Thurs, temp drops and Rain all thro nxt wkd... But Hey Im lookin at a week away, but my training just isn't there for a RR and want to avoid a crash as much as I can. So I will have lost anothe r$25 bux I dont have suxx major ass
BUT I was going down the shore anyways to celebrate Venus bday nxt Sat, and then I hear Tony Moran is playin ALL night in phili, so wtf, Im so going!!!

Then the nxt day, I see Marina + The Diamond Finally in Brooklyn w Venus again.! Hope I can bring another friend w me as well since shes bringing her new gf. Sometimes I wonder when I will ever meet my special someone and why its so difficult for me to do so. I mean I kno I can be an outthere, outgoing person, but still, this is rediculous, not complaining now bc I sure as hell dont want a relationship when I live at home, unless of course the other person lives on their own :)

But I cant do long distance and I need to find something thats mutual... I guess they say when u stop looking it comes...

Race Update + $ Situation

Uh, So ever since I left Rbk Sports Club/NY, I thought I may be offered better opportunies, I was wrong. I applied at this gym called "Lifetime Fitness" in NJ because I heard great things about the gym from a member stand point because if I were a rich member, it is a nice, modern, big, and clean gym to work out in. BUT what I didn't know when I got hired was the fact that I was going to have these unpaid 'shifts' and I would take clients through FREE unpaid sessions. Like are you kidding me? I worked way too hard for my college degree and it took me NINE FREAKIN months to pass that NASM. I coulda had a baby if I were ever interested in having kids... lol

Its like a slap in the face, like really? TIME is MONEY and I dont work for free. I left this job the day I started bc I dont take BS.!

So, offically I havent worked since December which sux majorly. I really have cut down on my plans TREmendesly. I own my parents 3gs bc they helped me pay my CC bills in the past so I dont get charged interest. I am not a big charger, but unfor most of it is race fees and nessessities that added up.... Currently, I am applying to more sports performance gyms in Jersey OR corporate SALARY no SALES jobs.

By the time I get that paid off and find a job thats right for me, there is no way I would be able to save for St. Croix in time, esp for the pain in the ass hassle to take my bike on the plane and in this case, I would of had to transfer flights not worth it. I mean, I told myself after I graduated college, I would do St. Croix because it looked beautiful and interesting, only I didn't consider the pain and suffering in Hawaii 3 yrs ago when I almost collapsed because of the heat which affected my over all time.

SOOO I am taking the advice from Kawami :If I can drive to a race, with out the hassle of flying with my bike, DO IT: And I will, July 11 Rhode Island wkd trip which is a flat, fast course and August 22 New Hampshire Wkd trip which is hilly but beautiful and easy lake swim.

I know I will qualify its all about hard work, a never ending belief, and heart.
