So I decided to rehash and go back to Dec 18th bc I want to reminse. This day was the release party for the 'Element of Freedom' at the M2 loune in ny, a club I often like because of its loungy yet amazing dancing space. Unlike Pacha, they don't jam pack everybody in to a point where you can't move, yet it definitly does get crowded. There are enough bathrooms where there is never a line and the bar is huge with plenty of fruity selections which I love.
I went w my friend Steph, and I didnt know what to think. It was a cold night and we were first in line. Unlike the Greenhouse, which was wack btw, we even got let in right away w the vips. I knew in that moment it was gonna be a great night. So we were scouting the club for Akeys only we didn't see her. Then she caught my eye in this other 'vip' area which isn't norm the vip area bc everytime I have been there, the upstairs they rope off.
We tried sneaking in, but unsuccessfully failed lol. I wasn't quick thinking on my toes, and couldn't blurt out a random table number fast enough. Only it was pretty obvi that we didn't have vip bands on either lol. My xcuse, they fell off lmao.... But I wasn't to dissapointed because I had good vibes that something rare and xciting was about to happen, just moments later.
I said to my friend watch Alicia roll out on the dance fl stage and do a surprise performance. Literally just that had happened and it happened so fast, I still can't believe it. Since I had that thought in my head already and at the moment it was actually happening, I was prepared on what to do to get my moment. I was already on the catwalk so I said screw it. I slipped between the 15 security that was up there only to stand nxt to Alicia.
I met her once before on a tv show, but nothing compared to that night. I slipped her my business card bc you never know, and she started performing. I was singing so loud at one point she put the mic to my mouth. It was a cool moment to know that there was hundreds of people below shooting pictures and I was standing there with her and 15 burly security guards. She went to leave and took a photo with me before she left and slipped out of the building. That was a night to remember forever.
